What a bunch of Liars these people in Government have turned out to be, whether you believe in Climate Change or not doesn't matter, what matters is this should of been done at an election, the Australian people should be able to have a vote on this, after all it is going to change not only our lives but our lifestyle as well.

I feel that our PM should put the idea of a Carbon Tax on the agenda in the next election, not just thrust it onto the people, it is not right, it is also undemocratic, what is she afraid of?

A bit of thought to leave everyone with. Our ex PM now our Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd has brought a beautiful house at Noosa Heads. Now I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, I wish I could buy a nice 5 bedroom house on the beach too, what I think is wrong with this, is this is the guy that pushed and pushed for Australia to have an Emission Trading Scheme, a true believer in Climate Change.

But it seems maybe not, a house on the beach, (rising seas ring a bell) fully Air Con (everyone must conserve power we were told, and turn off your a/c) and to top it off a heated swimming pool. Is this a case of do as I say not as I do?

91 Year Old Climbs Mountain. (India)

The ninety-one-year old set a new high inspiration for people of all age groups by climbing a mountain 3,500 above sea level without any help or assistance, but for a walking stick as an occasional aid.
'I don't consider myself as old, because I believe that if one's attitude is strong, the body would also be fit. The body should be maintained healthy since childhood. I have done this to boost the morale of the youngsters and they don't get scared and participate in such activities,' Narayan Krishna Mahajan said.

I think that is incredible, to be able to do that at 91. He certainly looks good for his age as well, they interview him in the video, and you would never guess that he was 91 years old. He really is an inspiration for all ages I feel.

COCA-Cola is dismissive of a US radio show's claim it has discovered the secret recipe for the popular soft drink.
Coca-Cola South Pacific's public relations manager Susie Crumpton declined to comment on whether This American Life's recipe, which it claimed it had found in a 32-year-old newspaper, were genuine

But she said the main ingredients used in the popular soft drink are no secret.

"The ingredients used in our beverages are listed on the product labels and many people have tried over time to crack the secret formula of Coca-Cola," said Ms Crumpton. News.com.au.

Seeing as how coke of course would be patented nobody would be allowed to copy it anyway without breaking the law. I admit I've been a coke drinker for many years, I love it, it's my favourite soft drink out of all of them, I've been drinking coke since I was a teenager, so it is really part of my make up I suppose.

The Gillard government's immigration budget will blow out by $1.9 billion over the next four years, despite a $290 million boost to funding today, the Coalition claims.
Special Minister of State Gary Gray yesterday announced that the funding for irregular maritime arrivals would be boosted from $471m for 2010-11.

 "The Department of Immigration and Citizenship will receive $290m in supplementary funding for operational costs associated with the management of offshore asylum-seekers," Mr Gray said.
It brings the total budget this year for offshore asylum-seeker management to $761m, $457m more than last year's original budgeted $304m.

This is just getting ridiculous now, how on earth are the taxpayers of Australia going to pay for all this. We are after all a Country of only 22million, I'm not sure on the number of workers. No wonder the Government wants to bring in a flood tax levy, carbon tax, miners tax, and who else knows what new taxes they are trying to think up.

The number of boat arrivals under the Labor Government 10,016 and 3,464 since PM Gillard took office.
That number alone should send shock waves through the Government, and this is still growing. I really think something has to be done, if Australia cannot afford to even fix up infrastructure that was destroyed by the floods, how on earth can we keep on putting money into all the arrivals by boats? $1.9 billion over the next four years, that's the blow out figure, that is beyond a joke.

Forget sniffer dogs, crack teams of mice are being trained to detect bombers and drugs couriers at airports.
The sniffer rodents are then hidden in airport scanners, ready to raise the alarm.
The detector has been built by Israeli researchers who say it is more accurate than using dogs, pat downs and x-ray machines.

It looks like a metal detector or full-body scanner, but one side of it houses three concealed cartridges, each containing eight specially trained mice.
The animals work four-hour shifts, milling around in an allocated cartridge while sniffing air pumped in from outside.
When they pick up traces of explosives or drugs, they flee to a side chamber, triggering an alarm, New Scientist reports.

Yes you read right, sniffer rodents, I mean really. I admit I know nothing about rodents, but this does seem up there with the ridiculous. Security expert Bruce Schneier told New Scientist: "Animals" noses are always a good solution, and the mice don"t see you naked." Well there is an up side, but still it just seems a bit beyond it, and there is the side of animal cruelty as well, as far as radiation is concerned.

Holograms.

Passengers at England's Manchester Airport will be greeted by holograms of staff from next week in a bid to reduce security check queues.
The images of the customer service workers were created using the same cutting edge technology which is used in the music industry by bands such as the Gorillaz.
It is being trialled at terminal one where passengers are being met by holograms of real-life employees John Walsh and Julie Capper.

This I think is not that bad an idea, but still there is always the argument that someone has lost a job over this, or that people who could of been employed misses out on a job. With the world's population of course getting bigger, there needs to be more jobs created not less. I have often wondered about new technologies, and a lot do take away jobs that could of been, but still I feel we will see a lot more of this type of thing in the future.
